Caps and gowns

Pomp and circumstance

How it felt when you said

"If you cry, I'll cry"

Dealing with a problem I wasn't built for

So how have you been?

Always waiting for the story to unfold

Knowing all my secrets untold

How do I feel better?

Ignorance is not bliss

And hiding it makes me sick

Without you, a wound can't become a scar

We're not as different as we think we are

this is just a little song/poem i wrote. just starting to write lyrics and would appreciate constructive criticism :)
one thing in particular- tell me if it makes sense to you. i find it hard to distinguish the line between expressing what i want to express and laying it out so other people can understand the basis of the piece.
