Promotion, promotion and even more promotion. That's what took up most of Marshall's days lately. His fourth studio album 'The Eminem Show' had just hit the stores and he was going anywhere and everywhere to get the album to sale. "I definitely put my a*s into this album, man... That's why I'm telling everybody to get this s**t, I feel like it might be one of my best ones," Marshall spoke into the microphone as he pulled his chair closer to the table. He was currently in a radio interview with the famous Sway Calloway, the two men were cool, Marshall didn't mind showing up at the station to talk s**t and joke with Sway at all. "Right, right... Well, we're gonna go ahead and wrap this interview up, aight? Thanks again for showing up Slim, always 'preciate it."

From the many times that Marshall had been there, he had finally come to the conclusion that Los Angeles was shopping city. And surprisingly, that was something he wanted to do that day. He didn't go out to the mall that much, and when he did, he never really purchased that many items. A couple shirts and a few pairs of sweatpants and maybe a doo-rag, that was really it. "We got anything else to do today, Paul?" He asked his manager as they both slid into the back of the black truck. Paul shook his head as he pulled his seatbelt over his chest, "Nope, you're in luck today Marsh."

Marshall turned to Paul and grinned, which his manager returned with a confused yet interesting look, "To the mall we go?" Paul's face softened a little and he nodded before giving their driver the directions to a nearby mall.

Times like these made Marshall grateful that he had a friend like Paul. He usually got him in and out of the stores with little to no disruption at all. But when he entered the Footlocker outlet, Marshall just had this gut feeling that he'd be in there a little bit longer than he had actually intended to be. He was over in the athletic section trying to figure out what to wear, he felt as if he needed to get back in shape. But he needed just a little bit of help, Paul was useless so he would have to suck it up and go get an opinion from someone else. Marshall stuck his hands in his pockets as he looked around for someone with the black and white lined shirt on.

"You look so lost over here, need some help with finding a shoe?" Marshall looked up and his blue eyes instantly connected with an unfamiliar pair of dark brown ones. To say they were beautiful was definitely an understatement, he took his time looking the girl over, she was gorgeous as hell. His eyes stopped at her name tag: Serena. "I don't mean to be rude but are you going to answer my question or what? It's almost time for my shift to end and I'm really ready to get outta here," She said as she waved her small hand in front of his face. Serena knew who the guy was, who didn't? She wasn't that big of a fan though, hell, she didn't even listen to Hip-Hop like most people did these days.

Marshall cleared his throat just as he cheeks turned red. "Yeah, uh... I don't know what kind of shoe to get, got any suggestions?" He asked, eyeing her name tag again, "Serena." She put on her 'friendly' smile and led him towards a pair of Nikes that she was sure he'd love. She picked them up and placed them in his hand, "Here. These are the ones that are hot on the market right now, they're like... sixty bucks but you're rich so I'm sure you can afford it," She replied as she turned around and walked into a different direction. She checked her watch and smirked, it was officially time for her to get the hell home.

Marshall on the other hand stood there dumbfounded as he watched her walk off, no one had ever talked to him like that before. To be honest, he actually kind of liked it and a part of him instantly wanted to see more of that attitude from the Footlocker employee named Serena. He chuckled to himself and picked out his correct size of the shoes that Serena handed to him and then went to the checkout line so that the cashier could ring him up.

"Ready to roll out Slim?" Paul asked while swinging his own bag back and forth as Marshall walked right past him. He nodded in response to Paul's question, he was half listening and half not, his thoughts were clouded by images of Serena. He wanted to get to know her, needed to have a piece of her by the time the summer was over. Marshall was a bold person, and when he took interest in something, he would do everything in his power to get it. The next day he would return to Footlocker whether Serena liked it or not, and she had better be ready for him.
