Nancy

Nancy

A Poem by Poetic Poet

I listen to the noise
As I pass the sounding box
Baseball playing on its screen,
Women I hate sitting on the couch
“Swing, batter, batter, swing” were my four least favorite words.
She watched her winning team as if it was her own.
Never cared what we said, cause we never swung a bat before,
Or even thrown a ball, never even dropped one
In her eyes, we were stupid, plain, and not much fun.
But if we weren’t her favorite team
We weren’t much, for Nancy.
