Memories of Dad

Memories of Dad

A Poem by Poetic Poet

I remember him killing the bat, with a different kind of bat, not knowing what we meant.
(He wasn’t too bright)
I remember him feeding us Cheedo’s for breakfast, because he didn’t know what we liked
(Forget about cereal)
I remember days of playful wrestling and my brother always won these “fights”
(Only because he cheated)
I remember him disappearing one night
And “forgetting” to say goodbye
(Yeah right)
