A Poem for the AIDS

A Poem for the AIDS

A Poem by Poetic Poet
"

not about STD's its an inside joke between my X and I

"

Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words will never break my heart
Constant sayings that I lied
Should surely tear me apart
But they don’t and you’ll soon see
That you’re gone and i’m happy
What was lost I found again
In another dear old friend
We used to laugh we used to kiss
I bet it’s something you’d thought id miss
Now we don’t talk
We don’t touch
Because of course
You’ve had enough
You left me hanging
Out to dry
You told me you loved me
But that was a lie
I know it was
You said not
But my hate for you makes my blood clot
You don’t love, you never will
Cries at night and sleeping pills
Now my heart is scared
But healed for good
I have someone new
To be understood
Another chance at love first hand
You can go and act all tough
But it’s me
Not you
Who’s had enough

Love this! At first it was really sad but then you went on to say how you've had enough and you moved on. Showing your strength even in sad situations. Your emotion are evident in this writing. Great poem! :)
