Enigma

Enigma

A Poem by Anu Biswas

Lilting voice speaks passionate words
Mind dispels images frame by frame
Heart bleeds pathos
Eyes hide angst
Anger imprinted where tears once flowed
Soul expands and constricts with seasons change
Hand once held hand; now let go
Feet restless, legs dance
Lips read lips
A thousand words of hope
Then thoughts go blank
A jumbled sense of existence
I am an enigma to me

The events that finally define growth have never been better capulized. Your usual gnawing sensitivity is here, demanding to be heard and it captured me (as always) and forced me to tell you that this is marvelous and a joy to read.
