When you're 16

When you're 16

A Poem by Adrienne

You're 16.

You're rejected.

You're lonely.

You're accused of being phoney.

You're stressed.

You're pressured.

You're always trying to impress.

You're smiling.

You're laughing.

You're dieing.

Hold on tight, it's the ride of your life.

You're living.

That was simple and beautiful.
Every line flowed well as it all fit together in the first stanza. It reminded me of Fifteen by Taylor Swift. *Wipes sweat from forehead* Sixteen isn't far away so here goes. Let's hope it isn't as depressing as people put it out to be.
Loved the poem :)

This is a wonderful piece. I adore how the flow of the piece is interwoven with the words you've chosen. The words rhyme, slightly, and it is very well done. You are also absolutely right. 16 is one of the hardest times, but it is truly the time of your life.

nice work!
