Shelby; A poem about a friend

Shelby; A poem about a friend

A Poem by Adrienne

sitting on my couch,
typewriter on her lap.
she makes the dumbest jokes.
though she deserves a clap.

Jokes fly to and fro.
We forget the plain.
Me and shelby BFF,
Different, yet the same.

Treading in the water,
or sitting on the tramp.
Memories are more to come.
Throw in some bible camp?

Dance moves clash with
marshmallowy plates,
and she laughs all the while,
in our mini drama states.

Destiny and Rabecca,
our made-up "sister" names.
We used them proud in walmart.
No end to our little games.

She was always there,
even when I got my puppy.
Playing in my pond.
naming each and every guppy.

Laughing with my laughs.
Teaching me to dance.
Shelby Christie, friend of mine.
Who's given me a chance.
