Sphere CatastropheA Poem by Adriennewritten when I was 14 lol I was outragedThe dawn of pressure has risen what is new, is now quite old. Lectures, movies and news reports todays tomorrows have been told
The kind of stuff that we inhale could kill a nation wide. Forget just one small person, and theres no place to hide.
Criss cross, criss cross, the shapes of markers here. We win some, we lose some. We win some stuff, we lose some dear.
Packaging for our ipods. An eye for an eye, I guess. A tune for a gas emission. could we use a little bit less?
Heat rising in some continents, heat dying in some others. This earth, a spinning ball of doom. 'Cause you call up all your brothers.
"Thats so sad" you gush. CBC shows polar bears, swimming, to find nothing. Take a hint from Al gore, he cares.
Flick off, walk more. Take a bus or two. You might think its an over-reaction, im here to tell you its true.
What will happen tomorrow? What about me and my peers? Adults buying gas-thirsty cars. We have to deal with it, in the futur years.
I guess you could say "deal with it" but hard to deal, it will be. we'll have to sacrafice a lot. no big hummer for me.
when life hands you a lemon your supposed to make lemonade well life handed you a priviledge
and for some cash, you did trade.
So now the problem's ours to fix. we'll do everything that we can. even if it means no fun.
I'll give the earth a helping hand.
For you, its just so simple. to drive and to cut down a tree for us the matter is difficult. call it a sphere catastrophe. © 2009 Adrienne |
