Innocence

Innocence

A Poem by Adrienne

remind me of days

when hair cut short meant

easy for play

and not butch.

tell me of ways

that I once lived planning

for college

and not my next boot.

rock through the day

with degrading words called rap

instead of

bluuuuuuueee velveeeeeeet.

I cant even say

that I know what love is

but google

told me its good.

A mixture fogs up my gaze

a mixture of carelessness and dirty

teenagers

looking back

Innocence. Not lost, just hiding behind beers.
