A Poem by Trivén

...

no sleep for days
no rest to be
no days for sleep
no rest for me

awoken.
no alarm,
sun in my eyes and burns my arm,
birds tweeting, a cacophony of lows and highs;
outside,
a never ending melody,
kids yelling, banging, tenaciously.
bursts of wind, rustle the leaves;
limbs from nearby trees,
windows,
constantly ding.
with a burning headache,
i'm broken.
my hope, is gone

great sleep for days
well rested as can be
great days of sleep
well needed rest for me

awake.
no alarm,
sun greet my eyes and warms my arm,
birds singing, a tune of lows and highs;
outside,
a harmonious melody,
kids laughing, playing, enthusiastically.
breezes of wind, flutter the leaves;
branches from backyard trees,
windows,
rhythmically ping.
with a schedule open,
i'll make
this day, my own

I enjoyed the contrasting parts here. The first reminds me of a week work day and the latter a weekend.
You did a good job differentiating between the two and displaying each day with an emphasis on the audial.
