Nowhere but up

Rivers and valleys, deep down below

Easy to get stuck and just go with the flow

Just beware, getting lost down there in flash floods and cold traps

It may seem safe at first, but the mountain walls will slowly creep in

Soon down so low, don't know where to go, everywhere's up and it's a struggle.

Hello again Trevin!! Another review here hehhehehe. They say salmon swim upstream to go back to where they were born. Not many salmon make it while swimming upstream because they encounter so many challenges along the way. It's not easy going against the grain so to speak or swimming upstream as you have it in your poem. It is true going with the flow only takes you so far until encountering wild rivers as you state it in your poem.
