Human hunter

Human hunter

A Poem by Trivén

Dormant, hidden in the shadows
trying not to be seen
Fighting the forces
slipping through the cracks barely
discovery would be the end
Traversing the verge of limbo
it wants out, it has to
desire growing stronger
taking risks, necessities
Emerging from the deep
it stalks, closing in
attack is imminent
the prey ritualistically prepared
risks overcome, for now
Desire cools, forces reckoned with
dormancy taking its toll
it need it again, more
grandiosity cannot live in ignorance
the fighting forces tampered
handing out bread crumbs, fed
Another strike it craves
no time to waste
lights flicker, one by one
as it point towards too close for comfort
the chase quickly follows, spectacular
as pieces fall into place
the final picture shot
in a pool of red, desire, is now gone
