Held by the future

Held by the future

A Poem by Trivén

I am a survivor
strolling down the ruins
breathing the chemical air
post-apocalyptica
my home

There's beauty here for sure
in the chaos and destruction
refractive patterns cover the horizon
as the sun sets and rises
shining through the polluted air
and the irradiated ponds
glowing dim at night

The people here are incredible
the ingenuity one can achieve
when one amounts to something
the things overcome
and risen above
stories told with joy
living in peace

Information has not been lost
just take to its core
the technological puzzle pieces
patented and locked away
are used freely to solve any problem
for once and for all
we can use our collective knowledge

I am only one of many whom agree
that although we've payed the price
for the belief of being the superior race
destruction breeds creation
extreme change force adaptation
with time, evolution

Time has past
nature once again found balance
we now know how we're here to stay
society part of the ecosysten
we prosper
not a thing we would change
no longer survivors
we just are
