The river of time and the puzzle of life, and their relation.

The river of time and the puzzle of life

hand in hand they go.

Pieces lighter to the surface arise

Pieces heavy deep below

The heavier pieces mostly change slowly over time

family, love, traditions and friends

The lighter ones move faster, sometimes being glime

day to day stuff which get stuck in the bends

But every now and then,

the river can take a turn

speed up and you see and end

make you question what you have learned

When a waterfall come you can never know,

but it throws pieces all size alike.

Everything comes at once and how,

could you possibly sort heavy from light.

Stressful times like these are hopefully few

Just remember, to those who wait,

the sun will soon the clouds shine through

Really nice. Brilliant imagery, it leaves one in no doubt that calm waters slowly sift the heavy and light but turbulent times throw everything back together - mixing it up and potentially changing things forever. It makes me wonder how turmoil, despite its painfulness is necessary for our development. The best poems, for me, are thought provoking. You provoked!
