Light.
Photons alone in empty space yet surfing a wave with everyone else. Alone with the masses without no sense of direction, to find its place, the wave must break and the feeling of isolation sets in. Too little light may result in depression Too much and you get burned Too diffused and you can't see Too focused and you'll be blinded Alone in a room of darkness You light up the room, with the flip of a switch You look around, the room's filled with strangers you're still alone Alone in a lit room of strangers You light up the room, by putting on a smile The smile spreads like a wave, a wave you're now surfing you're with everyone else Sunlight, bright light keeping fears at bay Moonlight, dim light releasing to them to stray Jacklight, lure light reeling them in as prey Firelight, burning light as they die away Why fear the lack of light, pitch black? Is the choice really that bright, or jack? Embrace the darkness and your other senses as fear cloud your judgement. Feel and listen, lay down your mental fences give in and know its innocent.
