Amplified

Amplified

A Poem by Alice

How can I let go
of this fear that grips me?
I'm a slave to this intense,
beautiful emotion;
It tears into me,
like vultures into flesh.
Every day, my heart pours,
like falling from a mountain cliff
Waves crash below as I feel
everything amplified.
How can I make it real
If I can't splatter it on paper,
Or on the rocks below?
When every day I'm a slave
to this intense,
beautiful emotion,
amplified.
