Falling
I'm on the edge, about to fall.
Fall far away from this place, and even farther from you.
You promised me the world, but what you didn't know was that the world was never really yours to give.
Just another empty promise from the same old lying mouth.
Yet somehow I let myself believe you, even knowing how it would turn out.
You didn't think it would ever really be over.
You never thought I would leave.
You let yourself think that I would always be here waiting for you, whenever you decided you needed me.
I'm no longer that person.
I am much stronger now than you think.
I see right through you and I know what you really are.
So it brings me here, on the edge, and ready to fall.
I'll set all of our old dreams and memories on fire.
I'll erase you from this mind.
And even now as I am falling, you still win.
Because you never really gave me back my heart.
