Verdant Life

Verdant Life

A Poem by Tristan Stuart

Worlds of green, Worlds of blue.

Spirits of wood, Spirits of sea.

Worlds of red, Worlds of black.

Spirits of blood, Spirits of Soot.

A body drowned and a fire burnt out.

A sea of blood, and a forest of ash.

Body to Verdant soil, Ash to Verdant blood.

Humanity becomes mist, Culture becomes mud.

Stuart, your words are Beautiful. This poem shows struggle between two opposite things this world is made up of... While reading the last stanza, an image of war, with the solid words came up in my mind.
The last line is strong enough to evoke the reader. Nice imagery shown here.

Thank you for sharing your excellent poetry here. Keep it up! (y)
