Walked OutA Poem by TrishArias
I walked slowly in a dark hallway.
There was no light. Only the guide of a full moon. I produced echos with every step I took. You could hear my heartbeat. The blood pumping through my body. I was surrounded in silence. My thoughts were not enough. I walked miles In this never ending hallway. With no one in sight. I turned to my left I turned to my right All I saw was the moons glow. I kept walking. Hearing things that were not really there. All I could to keep safe was think. I thought of fond memories. I pictured them so vividly They seemed to paint the walls of the hallway. The memories grew larger and larger They multiplied As I headed in the only direction the moon was casting. I did not realize. Every memory I was watching a second time. Would never be returned to me. Lastly I reached a dead end. I looked back and saw nothing... Darkness.
