Determination

Determination

A Poem by Mortricia

blanketed destitution

not so far from bliss

so many answers

for our questions

no solutions

so, tell me this-

how can a flick

become a fish

without the clench

of an earnest fist?

That ending was almost too clever for me to catch. You even had me open a dictionary when I had no reason to. Concise, smooth as silk, and smart. Nice.
