Oh, so pretty

they all say

you're oh, so pretty

so, smile and wave

smile and behave

smile and be fake

smile and parade

just to go home

at the end of the day

remove the makeup

remove the smile

remove the pretty

remove the face

remove this play

remove this masquerade

remove this head

oh, so pretty

and dead.

Clever piece about the deception on appearance. The subject has been addressed many times, and will continue to be in all sorts of mediums. Since there are so many competing mediums, I think a short and quick piece (like yours) is the best.
