Hammer and Nail

Hammer and Nail

A Poem by Mortricia
"

Karma in it's ultimate form.

"
Drained and weak
My breathing thickens
Pulse irregular
My heartbeat quickens

Heat begins racing
Through every vein
Rage is leftover
Like an ugly stain

Coating my insides
With hate and despise
I barely feel a thing
When the numbness arrives

Grounded I stand
Glued to the spot
Stuck where you left me
To decay and to rot

I attempt to pull free
But to no avail
Rooted to the floor
Hammer and nail

You watch as I struggle
You prod and you poke
My vision then, gets clearer
Suddenly, I awoke

Redness was matted
About my hands and on my chest
In my delirium
Logic took a rest

There you hung
Crucified to the spot
Hammer and nail
I left you there to rot.

Mortricia
When slipping into insanity, I doubt you even feel numbness.
