Stare

Stare

A Poem by Mortricia
"

Don't stare, it's rude.

"

The little girl sitting there

her mother tells her not to stare

she asks "why not?"

Her mother replies,

The stare will become one with your eyes

And begin to rot

Gangrene on your corneas

You'll never see

Anything as it once was

"So, don't stare",

said her mother that day

Unless in the ground

Would you care to lay.

Oh my, what a morbid mother. o= I'd be scarred for life is anyone ever told me that as a child. XD This is a lovely poem, if not a little bit frightening! :)
