Im not sure if i got the referencing . this poem reminds me of Elma Mitchell – “A Stone’s Throw” and people pointing out others flaws before addressing their own. A nice idea

In the Bible there's a story where people were testing Jesus telling him that some woman was cheating on her husband and that the law demands that stones be thrown at her for punishment. They were doing this just to test Jesus because they hated him. Jesus responds by saying "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her". Everyone left after that because they were all being convicted by their own conscience. This is probably what inspired Elma Mitchell's writing as well :)
