her favorite color is blue

A Poem by john-alec mitchell

if i could i would hold you in my arms

as i turn your painful memories into a canvas,

and paint over a blue sea as tranquil as newborn lamb.

then i would craft an umbrella from your memories

as we sit out in the rain side by side looking at the stars, as we wish to clear our

past so we may forget the sorrow and borrow the time to smile at the beauty of

 the world.

Very nice - I love the image of turning painful memories into a tranquil painting as well as "forget the sorrow and borrow the time to smile at the beauty". Beautiful words and feelings here.
