My Heart

My Heart

A Poem by Khristian Burkhart

My heart belongs to another.
My heart is tattered and torn.
My heart will one day be a mother,
And always will mourn.
My heart has scars of love,
That can never be erased.
My heart is like that of a dove.
My heart can never be replaced.

My heart is resilient. I love the repitition. The heart is one hell of a tough organ. Glad it's there.
