Stinkfist

Nothing could have prepared me for Tool. How far had I come to get to the moment when at last I witnessed the glory of my favorite band on stage? The lip biting moment when Maynard finally took his place stage center to Rosetta Stoned churning in the background, and as the rythmic chant rose while the spotlight took it's place and the crowd started to roar..... I had an epiphany.

2000. Stennor and Aaron and I all living in an underground basement suite with wood panelled walls, bugs, and cigarette singed ceilings. Waking up to Lateralus every morning causing a perpetual argument between Skin and I over how much the band sucked. Day's after he went back to Vail I felt an aching void. I purchased the album in secrecy and hid it until my love for the band could not be contained.

I still hear 'I told you so".
