Infancy

Infancy

A Poem by Bean
"

Walls, ego's, disaster

"

I sit naked and listless

the aftermath of a self inflicted

close range shotgun blast

to the face

"Stop smothering me", I wailed

like a spoiled adolescent

refusing to eat her dinner

It was a collision of ego

meeting in one catastrophic

explosion of emotion

as a wave assaulting the ocean shore

on a blistery November afternoon

Rivers of indignation

sluiced through all sense of logic

My ornate vocabulary

cutting deeper than

the distance to the sun

I like this.
If I’m understanding it correctly, it sounds like a heated argument between a couple.
Though I could be wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time.
I truly enjoyed reading it. :)
