Like Butterflies

Like Butterflies

A Poem by trinityluv122

Walking within my thoughts

You awakened my heart to the beat of your soul

You captured my breath and slowly touched my essence, with gentleness and patience

You erupted my feelings into a frenzied passion

Touches of excstacy rumbled the depths of my being

Like butterflies bursting into explosions of colour and flight

My desire and wanting exceeded boundries of pure lust

I am wavering on madness from emotions bound by past sacrifice

In my confusion, I see you holding out your hand to take mine

It grounds me and wraps me in a force of compassion and empathy

As I open my eyes wider, my realization comes to pass

I have fallen in love and with this joy and happiness I rejoice in its realm

Dancing on clouds and floating for ever, I will always remember Falling in love with you

The words convey such emotion! Simply Beautiful!

I feel the crescendo of your passion in the middle of the poem, and then it falls away toward the end, like the little death of love. Beautifully done.
