Damaged DaughterA Poem by trinityluv122In the blackness of the hallway I hear your footsteps My heart beats faster as I curl into my blanket No! No! please dont hurt me I am startled and frightened like an injured animal I want to flee and escape but your footsteps wont leave They are so loud in my head like drums pounding The perspiration engulfs my rigid body I try to scream but no sound comes out Terror and anxiety choke me with each quickened breath I am frozen and encapsulated by your power You are nearly upon me with your rancid smell and rough bearded face The darkness is all around, I try to hide within the pockets of this insanity Nothing can save me now and I succumb to your evil advances I slowly drift away in disassociation and dream with hope and faith That someday you will disappear and I can be free and happy as I should be © 2013 trinityluv122Featured Review
