A short poem for those who currently suffer and can compare.

Once

 

What once was a bright light, has since dimmed.

What once was a tall flame, has since grown small.

What once was a full heart, has since been emptied.

What once was a mind full of hope, has since drained.

What once was a happy dream, has now became a nightmare.

What once was a smile, has now became hot tears.

What once was a strong girl, has since became weak.

What once was a body of warmth, is now cold.

What once was alive, is now dead.
