CaregiverA Poem by Sarah RediganWatching you disappear
day after day is killing me the color in your face slips away a little more every morning it pains me to have to lie and tell you everything is fine so you are comfortable and don't have to feel the pain i feel inside even know you couldn't respond to our friendship the way i could because of your illness i know you remembered all the time we shared somewhere inside your mind the light in your eyes gets dimmer and dimmer slipping piece by piece to the angels you'll soon stand by the last day i checked on you i knew it was coming soon i seen the pain and confusion in your eyes as you gasped for air i wish i was there to say one last time have no fear the angels are waiting for you my dear Everything will be okay i love you ! © 2012 Sarah RediganFeatured Review
