ChameleonA Poem by Tobias RupertoJust a reaction to the confusion friends cause by their ever shifting selves. This is more of a journal entry; no poetic structure.
Be a Chameleon if you so desire. I pray the presences you show me are true; no faces of chains.
If you must change, present the honest beauty. Don't shout my name in love when the vibrant attire you wear is of your least favorite. Sing, dance, proclaim the dubious colors that come naturally! Do no not allow me to become the useless environment that forces your skin to choose. However, I do wish to congratulate thee. One must be quick to shift in order to survive the world. © 2013 Tobias Ruperto |
