D. Evil

D. Evil

A Poem by T.C. Banks

       Hi. The name's D. evil,

I like to steal people.

        I live amongst fire

Where the temperature only goes higher

        Even at night

And its always bright

       There’s never any rest

Not even for the best

Of workers who pay their tolls

Only after eternity of working their souls

I will be completely honest with you this was not one of your best pieces. I hope you don't take this review to harshy. I am only attempting to help you out. I like this idea that you attemped to portray. The devil being slave master of damned souls and how they are forever tortured. I am left wanting more, this was a good start but you didn't elaborate as much as I would have liked. The rhyme scheme in this poem doesn't really fit, I feel like you are stressing the attempted rhyme to much. The though was perfect but the way you went about describing it didn't really do the topic justice. There was faint imagery, like as soon as I started to gather a picture the poem ended (again elaboration) which was a joy killer. Nope bad though, not up to its fullpotential but still not bad.
