Before the Dawn

Before the Dawn

A Poem by T.C. Banks

Nights have come and days have gone since I left your side, I'm all alone on an endless ride

Not a single word to be exchanged, these thoughts of mine have been changed

When I left for another place, the darkness filled what was your face

Life alone goes so slow, so now there's one thing I want you to know

After I left, my heart and mind have been with you this whole time.

Life goes on after I'm gone it's always darkest before the dawn
