Late night musingsA Poem by T.C. Banks
I can't sleep, but mainly because I haven't tried.
I lay here and think of you, but mainly because you're not here. You're on my mind day and night. I dreamt of you, of us, of things that cannot be. I'm ashamed, I don't know why I'm being this way. I can't focus unless I'm talking to you, my work suffers if we're not talking. I love my life and hate it simultaneously. I can't move forward yet can't stop steaming down the tracks. Everything moves slower while at the same time moving fast. Alas, we meet again and I look into your eyes and feel whole. We embrace and it warms my soul. You speak sweet words and I feel at peace, you fix your hair and my knees get weak. You" You... You are beauty in rare form, you are more beauty than is norm. I cannot sleep....I cannot sleep. © 2014 T.C. BanksAuthor's Note
