StormA Poem by Annie NicoleA raindrop hits the freckles upon your face. Holding onto your straw-made hat, while the winds blows through your curled blue skirt. Lightning strikes in the distance. Waves crashing down, like a wooden table being smashed on the ground. Clouds traveling away so fastly, in large, dark puffy masses. You hurry towards safety looking around for any sign of life. But all you can see is the darkness over crowding the skies among you. When suddenly the loud bangs and crashes begin to stop. Almost silent you might think. Light breaks through the mists above you, the heat from the sun hits your cold, wet skin. Your mind begins to slow down and you finally get a chance to breathe, a chance for peace and tranquility.
