Happiness is Over Rated

To show we need sadness in our life as well as happiness to enjoy both.

Happiness

Happiness is over rated
It should never be a permanent state
Without those periods
Of Angst, anger or sadness
We would never know
that happiness was real

Real life is about
All of our emotions
How we cope with them
The balance we have
Between good and bad
Our life state

We should embrace
Periods of sadness
and healthy lows
Are what we need
To show the joy
Of life that shines through

So when you are sad
Don't change a thing
Those sad days are
How we know joy
Is real and worthwhile
So enjoy all of lives
Emotions, and Life Live
To the full

Awesome Roy, I absolutely LOVE the way you call sadness "A healthy low" hee hee, I just absolutely love that. What a fab bit of spin that is. Next time i'm feeling sad or down i'm going to call it a healthy low! You are right we would never know what happiness was if we didn't know pain and suffering, also we wouldn't know how to be sympathetic/empathetic and help others who are suffering to. This is my 1st review & I haven't got a clue how these points/ratings work yet sorry Roy. I'm not sure I want to mark anybody's work, i'd feel like a teacher!
