My 3 Short-Lived Lives

My 3 Short-Lived Lives

A Poem by Treble
"

This was based on a 7th grade science assignment.

"

I am the bullied little igneous rock

Oh, no! It’s raining too heavily!

Crack in the head.

Stop it, ice!

I’m rolling down hill!!!!!!!!

Stop pushing me down!

You’re so physical and mean.

Crack! I’m done for.

Ow, my arms and legs!

Where am I? This life or the next?

Next life.

What am I?

Sedimentary.

OWWWWW!

I’m rock hard, you know.

You are too strong!

Being pressed together.

Dead.

Where am I?

Next life.

What am I?

Metamorphic.

I am melting!

Shot out of it.

Pushed against others.

Yay! I’m igneous, the old me.

Awesome! Really took me back to Geography lessons. But I know there is a much deeper darker meaning in this poem (even if it was not written in that way) and I love that too...
Rocks grow forever even though life is over... Life is saved... Stones are the paper for where history is buried. Someone will find it, someone will know its story.. someone will feel..

So much more I could say. It is a wonderful piece.
Great job...
