EclipseA Poem by TrebleInspired by a camping trip
The moon masks her glow,
believing she is not bright enough. She compares herself to the sun and shrinks in shame. Yet most of the time, what we find most beautiful is the moon, for while she does not cast the brightest glow, she shines in the darkest of times, ever-changing with the nights that pass. She is not the brightest, yet she is the most glorious, allowing us to look directly at her instead of looking away. Most lovely of all, she allows stars to shine with her, rather than outshining all the rest. Yet every now and then, she feels the need to hide away, believing she is not good enough simply because she is not the brightest.
