The Moment PassesA Poem by TrebleThis started as a journal entry :)
An excruciating, gut-wrenching pain rips through me as I resist the temptation to give in to my past mistaken ways.
The fire within me burns with newfound determination as I cry in agony, refusing to submit to my mind’s relentless interrogation. My shaking hands clutch my chest as my upper body aligns with my thighs, the heels of my feet now digging into the bedstead, trembling from the force they exert. I resemble that of a rocking chair with no backing, my hair a curtain around my tear-stained face. When the moment passes, my skin remains untarnished, my confidence intact. © 2017 TrebleAuthor's Note
