LaughterA Poem by Treble
Through the wooden blockade
I hear laughter ring. I can hear her eyes sparkle as she throws her head back. I wonder what was said, but I’m not sure it matters. She is smiling brightly, and in that moment, nothing can touch her. My heart is warm. Her pure joy spreads as light does through windows. All my thoughts dissipate as I close my eyes and imagine her sparkling eyes, her small dimples, her rosy cheeks. Through the wooden blockade, I hear laughter ring - I am at peace. © 2017 TrebleAuthor's Note
