"Daddy, daddy!"

"Daddy, daddy!"

A Poem by Treble

She was only 6...
6...
6 and a few months, maybe.
Riding between the shoulders
of her mommy and daddy,
She giggled.
Then... As she was lowered to the ground,
She heard a bang.
She watched her daddy fall
Into the crimson sunset.
In the sunset, she held him tight.
Called to the wind, "Daddy, daddy!"
In her mind, him
falling to the ground
was the final memory.
But in her mother's mind,
hearing her little girl cry out,
"Daddy, daddy!" would be
the last of him she remembers.

Holy s**t. Excuse my language, but the WOW factor is really high. I followed this poem closely until the big boom happened with the father, as it caught me with surprise! it was really well written
