Why?

Why?

A Poem by Treble

I still remember your hazel eyes

sparkling in the sunrise and sunset.

I still remember your singsong voice

rising and falling with the notes of

what you had to say.

I still remember your gentle hands

holding on and letting go.

But most of all, I remember

your sunset, your falling, your letting go.

But if you had hazel eyes, a singsong voice and gentle hands,

why did you have to go?
