What They Never HadA Poem by Treble
Watch the little girls grin,
Their faces so thin From the grains of rice a day they ate, Their only food in a small crate. Watch the big boys happily play, Their only toy old and gray. Kicking the heavy ball, Their feet ever so small. Watch us as we play and eat, Having a heavy meal of meat. Watch as the littlest one of us Goes to the littlest of them making a fuss. Watch as he gives her a bite to eat, And gives her a kiss ever so sweet. © 2015 TrebleReviews
