The Foe and the FawnA Poem by Treble
Two roads diverged in my life,
And every step I took to the left landed me farther from home. I kept walking down it, Trying to see if, By some chance, I'd find fawn, not foe. But every step I took, I found foe. The shadows lurked behind me, The starlight hidden amongst night. My whole life, My every joy stemmed from Being other's wind beneath their wings. But I've discovered... You can't save a drowning person Unless you know how to swim. So I turned around To take the right-hand path. And I practiced. And I practiced. And I practiced Looking out for I... Me... Myself. And to this day, I help every person I can. But that starts with... MYSELF. And that. Has made. All. The difference. © 2015 TrebleReviews
