Flowers and Keys

Flowers and Keys

A Poem by Treble

Staring at the petals
Watching them wilt
Right below my fingers.
At my fingertips,
I feel warmth.

Watching my fingers
Scurry across the keys,
One note at a time,
One last time.

I should have known
Flower-designed keys
Soon let go.

The flowers peel off,
All that's left are the keys.

Slowly turning, turning, turning...

Interesting flow of thoughts. I liked how you used the flowers on the keys. You create vision and thoughts. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome.
Very good poem. Flowers only ever sleep though, each spring they return and bring new life to the turning of the key.
