Waltzes and Gates

Waltzes and Gates

A Poem by Treble
"

Dunno! Just kind of came to me!

"
Sorrow waltzes through a ballroom,
Its hands barely touching every dancer,
Its eyes piercing into every heart,
And while the dancer cannot avoid its touch,
The dancer can avoid its pierce,
The one that cuts deep and never lets go,
If ever the dancer looks it in the eye.

Anger sneaks around the closed gates,
The gates that protect a little girl,
She who does not know true anger,
She who will not know true anger,
So long as the gates are closed,
But even so, anger seeps in,
And the little girl learns too soon.
