Gentle, kind and honest flow of words led to good ending. I like the journey leading to understanding. Thank you dear Lynn for sharing the excellent poetry.

This was for a grieving friend. Thanks again for stopping by
WOW! I was actually taken back by this piece. It really is excellently penned. Great job. It instantly reminded me of a friend who could do with those very words right now.
Thanks for sharing.. :)

Seemed like a kind tribute that you wrote or just given to one of your "real" life friends who, eventually, might have treated you right 'cause in 'tis big wide wildé world, there's no treat to anyone -- only a remorse is what you get... in the form of tears, perhaps, this poetry, yeah.. your manifested & to the point poetry, keeps the worth of goodness very well but in disguise. Very kind. Heartfelt. Poignant. Industrious & kinda very simplistic write you come up with. Even "Mr. Title", that's "Empathy", speaks allot of the favorablilty of your browsed words.
oh Lyn what a treat this is!
the poet of this little gem is an artist with a huge heart.
people capable of empathy are such a blessing in these troubled times.
love it, Lynn.

You're so sweet, Woody. Thank you for blessing my page, my friend :)
Falling out of the skin into the soul...I like that very much. Going to the bare essence. Drowning inside our hearts...as if a higher force takes over, overwhelming us, destroying our normal defenses, collapsing our personas.
This is truly beautiful. They way you have displayed it on the page adds to the interpretation, and adds intensity to the sensations it conjures. Your likening grief to drowning, as if in the darkness of deep ocean water of the heart is so appropriate and touching. I can almost see a ship sailing, without compass, off into deep, deep water in the fog of sadness. Your empathy comes through softly, and truly.

I have been trying to play catch up since my long absence and am still behind in reading. The weather here is abominable and wants to take my connection down without a though. I'll be back again soon. :)

that's "thought"....why isn't there an edit comment feature? Am I just missing it? :/
oh Lynn ..that is perfect ...i can so relate to it ..deep losses and going through the grieving can bring us such a gift of empathy ...as a RN for many years i know first hand how patients and other staff knew instantly who had it and who did not ... it was after such loss in my own life that lead to my change from small business man in the construction business to nursing ... go figure right!? ;) God bless your friend ... whatever the situation ... she/he has a gift in you for sure!
